Most of us have big dreams and desires, but when we think about them deeply, we realize we have to pursue some difficult paths to make those dreams a reality. And it is often here that our fears can overwhelm us.
Fear is normal as long as it does not become a blockage that prevents you from following your path to success. If your fear is robbing you of your creativity and even coming in the way of you pursuing your passion, then you must deal with it immediately. If you don’t face and overcome your fear of success, you run the risk of experiencing greater negative consequences, such as never getting what you want in life and living the rest of your life in regret. It’s only by facing your fears and taking action with courage that you can achieve your goals and live your dream life.
Here are some powerful ways to overcome this challenge-
1. First, find out what exactly is this Fear of Success
Fear of success is more like a belief that if you pursue your goal and dream, your efforts will ultimately cost you a big price, that you may end up losing more than you are ever going to gain and that your life ay even change for the worse. These are deep feelings that one may have without even being aware of them.
Observe yourself to know if this fear is one of the blockages stopping you from your Success. If you have this mental blockage, you may subconsciously push opportunities away and stay in your comfort zone out of anxiety. Or you might feel that even if you make efforts and take action, your goals could be well out of your reach. You might worry that achieving success will turn you into a different person or cause greater negative consequences, such as relationship issues, financial stress or unhealthy lifestyle changes.
List down all your thoughts and feelings about your goals. Ensure you have honestly written down everything that you consider as a blockage to your progress and growth. This exercise helps you connect better with your thoughts and feelings. As a result it can be a critical step to come face to face with your deepest fears and to find a way to overcome them completely.
2. Challenge beliefs with Positive Self talk
Once you become aware of your thoughts and beliefs that are really causing you to fear success and to take any appropriate action towards your dreams, the immediate next step you need to take is to try to change those thoughts and challenge those beliefs by Positive self talk. Take one negative thought and idea at a time and counter it by reminding yourself, “all these fears you have written are just thoughts and false stories you are telling yourself and most probably you have picked them up from others. They are not objectively “true” in any way. They deserve to go and be replaced with thoughts of abundance and success. This life will be as successful as your own ability to manage your emotions and energy.”
Tell yourself, “At any given point in time, you can attract and enjoy the success you achieve by staying in a good vibration. You won’t have to pay a price for any goal if you maintain good feelings and positive energy. As long as you are in positive vibration, everything can work out in your favour.”
Use positive statements like –
“I am an energy being, I attract positive experiences through my positive thoughts, feelings and vibration”
“I have the power to achieve my goals with ease and joy”
“All my achievements make me happy and grateful“
“My mind cooperates with me to fulfil my deepest desires and dreams”
“I am Worthy of all wonderful things”
“I am loved and appreciated”
“Universe supports me in every possible way
“Every day I am getting better and better in everything I do”
“I am always guided and guarded”
After challenging those negative beliefs, Put a cross over each one of them and Repeat above positive statements twice daily for few minutes.
3. Strengthen Self Belief with the Mirror technique
Every morning, stand in front of a mirror. Start by looking directly into your eyes for a few seconds. Smile, then address yourself by our name and begin appreciating yourself for all you have accomplished so far in your career, business, financial or personal life. Also mention all the things you want to do to enjoy kore success and happiness. Notice your body language as you speak of all the things you desire. Smile and maintain eye contact with yourself throughout the exercise. When you are finished appreciating yourself, looking deep into your own eyes, say, “I love you” to yourself 4 to 5 times. ” Then close your eyes and sit in silence for couple of minutes to really feel the impact of the experience. You will feel deeply connected to your core self.
You will feel more confident and positive about yourself and your life. When you look into your own eyes lovingly, you give your subconscious mind the attention and unconditional love it has been longing for. If you continue this exercise daily for the next 3 months, you will be amazed by the results! The subconscious mind will start becoming your greatest partner in success. Instead of fear, it will drive you to be more courageous and passionate to walk on the path of your dreams.
