Diverting one’s mind and keeping stress away can be a challenge especially when we have stressful jobs, deadlines to meet, professional and personal challenges to overcome. A good evening routine can help you destress, relax, feel positive, even get good sleep and wake up more refreshed and energetic the next day.
 
Let’s take a look at some powerful practices that you can do to refresh and reenergize yourself. Taking even few minutes to do them can have a big impact on your physical health, emotional wellbeing and state of mind.
 

1. Take a walk
 
When we go outside and enjoy the beauty and fresh air around us, we feel more energized. Walking also has multiple health benefits. Heading for a walk after the day’s work is over can help in many ways to calm your mind and relax your body. It can really help in clearing your mind of the multiple thoughts that could be causing you stress or anxiety.To truly make it a powerful practice, leave your phone behind.
 
Try to engage all your senses and stay aware of what’s happening both around you and within you. Be intentional with your awareness; notice your feet touching the ground with each step. Observe everything around you. open your ears to all the sounds surrounding you, feel your breath, and just be aware of what is happening in each moment. This exercise helps you not only connect to your authentic self, but also improves your mood and lifts your vibration.
 

2. Visualize your Goals
 
Most of us may have very busy mornings. So evening is a great time to Visualize our goals and connect with our dreams. After you get done with your work for the day, take a few moments to just relax, close your eyes and visualize your dream and goal. Breathe in and out a few times with a smile on your face.
 
This practice of mental visualization will not only help lower your stress it will also release mental blockages that come in the way of your self belief and confidence on your ability to achieve your goals. This exercise will give you the energy boost and motivation you might need to go after your dreams as it will instantly lift your spirit and raise your vibration. No matter how your day went, you will feel better and energetic whenever you do this exercise.
 

 

3. Do a mindful review of your day
 
It can be easy to get tired and feel worn out by the end of the day. As you near the end of your day, perhaps after you finish all of your tasks and just before you get ready to sleep, take a few minutes to do a review of your day. Time spent in self reflection is an opportunity to measure your progress in a very positive way.
 
Look back at your day honestly for few minutes. Is there something you could have done better, did you miss doign something?. Could you have done something to add more value to your day? Reflect on the way you spent your day. It will help organize your mind and thoughts. It will give you a lot of insights and understanding about who you are and how you feel. It will guide you on how to better yourself. This is certainly a great way to end a long day on a right positive note.
 

 

4. Relax your Mind and Body
 
This simple exercise is a powerful way to completely calm your mind and relax your body bringing you well-being and good health. While sitting, try to completely relax. Take a few slow, breaths. Notice the way your breath enters and leaves your body. Starting with your toes, focus your attention on one part of your body at a time. Pay attention to how that area is feeling. Notice any sensations that you are experiencing there. After a few moments of focused attention, move up to the next part of your body (i.e. after your toes, focus on your feet, then ankles, then calves, etc.).
 
Be aware of bodily sensations like tingling, soreness, or a tingling sensation, even any emotions you are feeling within. As you notice these sensations and feelings, just accept them without judgment or resistance. Mentally bles them and let them pass by bringing a smile on your face. This is great way to take away any negativity existing within you. This simple ritual will help you refresh your mind and energize your body.
