De Clutter your physical environment

 

Clutter of any kind – be it ‘mental, emotional or physical’ blocks and interrupts the flow of positive energy. In this post, Let’s focus on physical blockages – Blockages that come to you from your physical environment.

Begin to look around your physical environment. What do you see? As you are looking, Do you feel that it is untidy, unnecessary, unorganized or messy? Clutter interferes with your attempts to use the Law of Attraction for conscious creation, with your attempts to manifest something that you truly desire in your life.

 

Why De Clutter?

From an ancient Vedic perspective, physical congestion affects energy and vibration in a home or workspace. It affects you physically, mentally, emotionally, and even spiritually. Clutter can cause stress, unnecessary wastage of time and draining of one’s energy. It’s a visual reminder of all the things we need to do, organize and manage. it distracts us from what we want to do and keeps our mind and thoughts disorganized and unclear.

 

How do we get started on our de cluttering exercise?

 

  1. Set a strong Intention

Merely wishing to clean the clutter will do no good. Set a strong intention today itself and then take the appropriate action. Whether it’s cleaning clutter at home or in your office space, ensure you make a good plan to do the de-cluttering systematically. This is important because if you plan well you will feel overwhelmed with the task.

 

  1. Clear out unnecessary stuff

De cluttering could simply be clearing out the garbage or other physical space like drawers, shoe racks, organizing your files/papers, clearing your cup boards, getting rid of old newspapers, match boxes or plastic bags etc. You will realize, all of a sudden, you create more space and time in your life to do things you should be doing, to spend more time with your spouse and children, may be attract the right person you were waiting for, pursue a new hobby, even time to contribute to social causes, if you wish to! Decluttering can bring in many opportunities your way.

 

  1. Start with the most cluttered area first

You don’t have to do it all at once. Pick the most cluttered area that’s overwhelming you and start from there first. For example if you Start with your home, pick a room in your house that’s the most disorganized and overwhelming to you in terms of pile ups or clutter. This is because if you start from the area that most needs your attention and time, you will find it gets easier as you reach for other areas and corners.

 

  1. Clear clutter in small fragments

Start small. Each day take 15 minutes and work through a corner, drawer or surfaces where clutter piles up. Try it and think of this as an experiment and see what good you can manifest into your life when you do it. This will make the task of cleaning up and organizing things easier and more enjoyable. You will also mentally be more relaxed and alert to organize and set things up more systematically.

 

  1. Set a fixed day and time for this exercise

Once most of the de-cluttering is done, going forward, you may choose one day necessarily every month to de clutter, organize and arrange your stuff. For example, set a day and time and stick to it. I generally recommend people to choose a weekend every month for their decluttering. Choose whatever suits you. People who do this regularly are always energetic. They attract good things and new opportunities both in their personal and professional lives.

 

Messy surroundings lead to messy minds.

Finally, just remember, If you want new desirable things to come to you, you have to make space for them and you can do that only by clearing old things and unnecessary clutter. Nothing needs to be stacked up. Everything is energy and energy must constantly be moving. When energy gets stuck in one place, it begins to get blocked. Untidy, messy environments drain your energy, they block your mind, bring down your physical energy and even weaken your will power and determination. How you keep your car, home or office says a lot about what’s going on in your mind and in your life.  An Organized environment leads to an organized and sorted mind.
