How to have a great day, everyday by Dr Karishma Ahuja

 

Do you go to bed every night with a wish of opening your eyes to a beautiful day next morning? Question is if you want your day to be great then why wait for someone else to make it happen for you.  Why not make it beautiful ourselves?

 

Here are four powerful ways to make that happen.

 

  1. Smile lovingly and wholeheartedly

Speak to everyone with a smile. Smile at others and you will always stay in power in your conversation and interactions with them. You will never absorb any negativity from others. Speak slowly, sweetly and softly at all times. This helps clear your own mind.

You cannot always oblige but you can always speak obligingly. This attitude will keep you in a positive mood and vibration. You will be in charge of your day and feel like you are in control.  A smile will signal your brain to release happy hormones and chemicals in your body. As a result you will get happy thoughts and happy feelings. It will do wonders to make your day a beautiful and happy one.

 

  1. Try to make someone else’s day

If you are always looking at bringing a smile on faces of others, it will guarantee a bigger one on yours. How about helping an elderly person cross the road, volunteering to open the gate or elevator door for a person with some heavy bags, helping your mother with some cleaning or cooking, making a phone call and checking on the health of an old uncle or aunt?

When you voluntarily and selflessly do your bit to help others, you actually bring a smile on their face and even a small act of yours can have a big impact on their minds and thereby make their day. These small gestures can add so much happiness to people’s lives. Doing something for someone and seeing a smile on their face will make you forget your own problems and worries. You will feel more love and power in your own heart. When you share happiness, it multiplies more and more.

 

 

  1. Focus on the Positives

When you acknowledge what is going well, you will attract more Wellbeing into your life. Always Ask, “what is going right for me today?” This is a golden question which holds the key to freedom from the Past.

We are always quick to criticize, complain and point out the mistakes we see. If you want to truly transform your day and your life, then let get into the habit of finding and seeing the good around you, even in the tough situations you may be in. When you identify and appreciate what’s going right, you will be able to take power away from the bad from the situation. But if you keep noticing and complaining about the bad, you will create more of it. So choose wisely where you wish to keep your focus on!

 

  1. Strive for Joy

Remember ultimately what will matter is, not how many things you acquired in the day. Things don’t guarantee happiness. but what matters is how joyful you were, how happily you spent your day. Only when you are happy and peaceful will you get good Quality sleep at night.  Give importance to spending your day joyfully. This will make everything come to you easily –  health, harmonious relationships and Abundance.
