Honour your Ancestors I Connect, Receive Guidance & Blessings I Dr Karishma Ahuja.
Ancestral worship is very commonly found in several cultures and traditions. Hindus observe a period of 16 days every year to pray for their deceased ancestors by organizing Pujas and offering food to the Brahmins. Repaying debt to ancestors for your life, it is said is as important as repaying debt to God. It is the duty of the family members to respect their ancestors and express gratitude to them.
Activities like feeding the poor, donating in their name and performing activities to please them are often undertaken as part of ancestral worship. As per the ancient scriptures and texts, honouring ancestors is our Dharma. They have given us their name, family, lineage, even blood. Our lives rest firmly on the foundation of their sacrifice. They are as near to us as our breath, their energy is alive in every part of our body and when we find a way to connect with and honour them, they can be a tremendous source of healing and guidance for us. They have the capacity to bless us and grant us several boons. When they are happy and peaceful, we will be happy and peaceful too.
This Guided meditation will help us beautifully connect with our ancestors. We will honour them and express our heartfelt gratitude to them. We will also be connecting with the Divine energy within us and seeking forgiveness for any errors or harm committed by our family, relatives or ancestors either knowingly or unknowingly so that the ill effects of that karma be cleansed and released. We will pray for the freedom and liberation of our ancestors by sending them healing light and loving energy.
