Buddha Guided Meditation
Buddha Poornima is one of the most sacred festivals. It is a thrice blessed Day as it marks three important events in the Buddha’s life – His birth, enlightenment and final mergence. It occurs on the full moon day in the fourth lunar month of Vaisakha. The name and form of the Buddha spontaneously evoke feelings of compassion and peace. This is primarily due to the life of purity and sacrifice rooted in the principle of avoiding harm (ahimsa) that Buddha led.
As we celebrate Buddha Poornima, let us reflect deeply on the teachings of the Buddha. Let us do a special meditation to connect with and awaken the Buddha within us. This meditation will inspire us to go within and connect with the light, purity, compassion and peace that Buddha stood for. We will cleanse our mind and senses and experience true union with our divine selves by reflecting deeply on the Eight Buddhist Practices in the Noble EightFold Path.
