For Good Health, Productivity, Happiness and Peace of mind, it is important to take few minutes in the day to refresh your Mind, relax your Body and lift your Spirit.
Let’s go through some useful tips to refresh the mind and body:-
- Live in the Present
The present moment has no stress. It is only the thoughts relating to the past and future that may keep us feeling dull and low. The simplest way to be present is to notice when you are not in the present moment. In moments of distraction, stress, anger, anxiety, or boredom, take a few deep breaths. Inhale slowly and exhale slowly, as deeply as you can. Continue sitting quietly and breathing in this manner until you feel calm and relaxed. That’s what it feels like to be in present without effort or strain. Few minutes of doing this can help you rejuvenate yourself and release stress and boredom.
You can also practice doing the Light / Jyothi Meditation to re-energize and refresh yourself.
- Do some form of Physical exercise
Physical exercise helps build immunity and improves our response to stressful situations. Regular exercise also has an antidepressant effect. With physical activity we will feel energetic and renewed. It will also help us have a more positive outlook towards life. Whether it is walking, jogging, yoga or stretching, few minutes a day will go a long way in making you feel happier and healthier.
- Have Valuable conversations and interactions
The law of life is such that you will always gain the support of others when you in turn support them. Several research Studies have shown that having a group of trust worthy, supportive and happy persons around us adds to our health and lifespan. Happiness is closely connected with being in communication every day with someone you personally value love and trust. So look for building such healthy relationships. When you bond and connect well with others, it will add value to all people in the relationship. Healthy conversations with others will leave you feeling fresh, revitalized and positive.
- Observe and Appreciate what is going on around you.
Practice seeing things around you with non-judgement, including how you see your own self. We get so caught up with wanting things to be perfect that we rarely enjoy them. When you see without anger, fear and resistance, you see the world around you for what it really is. Everything around you will seem so beautiful and vibrant. Each day has something new to offer you. If you are open, alert, and ready to receive, You will experience a deep sense of satisfaction and ease.
- Reduce time on Social media platforms
Try to reduce time you spend on your social apps. Excessive screen time often dulls our brain and drains our energy. Besides the cell phone, also aim to shut off the television, and close down your laptop or computer, and see how relaxed, calm and peaceful you will feel. You will find some valuable time for self care and self growth.
All the best!
