We can only experience Bliss in life when we have learnt to control our Mind and achieved a state of Peace. A Peaceful mind is a healthy and happy mind. Peace is a state that we must all strive for. It is peace that makes life truly meaningful and enjoyable.
When the mind is disturbed, we should give it some time and let it be. It will settle down on its own. We don’t have to struggle to calm it down. Having ‘Peace of Mind’ is not a strenuous job, it is an effortless process to keep our mind cool and to have a great life ahead.
Here are some powerful principles to achieve this effortless state of Peace and Bliss.
This is the most powerful tool to achieve peace of mind. We often nurture ill feelings inside our hearts for the persons who have insulted or harmed us. We keep grievances, which in turn results in loss of sleep and many other ailments that affect our health and wellbeing. We forget that the insult or injury was done to us once but by keeping the grievance within us, we are keeping it active every single moment in our lives.
Therefore it is essential that we cultivate the art of forgiveness. Each one will bear the consequence of their actions. We must forgive and leave the rest to the universe.
2. Mind your own business
We must do away with our tendency to interfere in others business unless asked. Most of us create problems for our own selves by interfering too often in other people’s affairs. We do so because some how we have convinced ourselves that our way is the best way, our logic is the perfect logic, and those who do not conform to our way of thinking must be criticized and brought to the right direction, to our direction! Thus we apply force and try to dominate others. This kind of attitude on our part is very wrong. No two people can think or act in exactly the same way.
Everyone acts and does according to what they are prompted from within. If we want to share our thoughts with others, we should do it politely and kindly. If someone is refusing to listen to you even if it is for their good, then you should pray to the universe for them. In this way one is sure to experience peace of mind.
3. Don’t take up more than what you can handle
There is a famous English proverb, “Do not bite more than you can chew.”. We often tend to take more responsibilities than we are capable to carry out. This is done to satisfy our ego. In the process, we create unnecessary pressure for ourselves and lose our peace of mind. Why take on additional loads that may create more worries and stress?
We cannot gain peace of mind by satisfying our ego. It will only make us more restless and stressed. Try to organize your thoughts and prioritize your actions. Complete what you take up on time. This will ensure peace of mind.
4. Never Regret
Do not waste time feeling bad for what has happened. Days, weeks, months and years may be wasted in these feelings of, “Why did I do this or why did I not do this”. You did what you did according to your level of awareness. So never feel bad. Everything that happened has brought us to where we are today in our lives. Always remember Universe has a wonderful plan for us. It is always willing to guide us and guard us. So Value your time and your life.
It does not matter if you have failed in the past. You can rectify your mistakes and succeed the next time. Sitting and worrying will lead to nothing. Learn from your mistakes but do not brood over the past. DO NOT REGRET! Whatever happened happened for your own good. Trust the process and live life with courage.
